Submission 44 to the Senate Inquiry into Delivery of outcomes under the National Disability Strategy by Monash University’s Occupational Therapy and Architecture Departments (2017)

This submission responds to key terms of reference for the Senate Inquiry into Delivery of Outcomes under the National Disability Strategy (2010-2020) to Building Inclusive and Accessible Communities (Senate Community Affairs Reference Committee, 2016). The response draws on a National Housing Roundtable held in Melbourne in March 2017. This roundtable was one of four deliverables in a research project led by Monash University’s Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, School of Primary and Allied Healthcare with Monash University Faculty Art Design + Architecture, Department of Architecture. The project was funded by the Department of Social Services as part of the second implementation plan of Australia’s National Disability Strategy (Department of Social Services, 2016b).
